Swachh Vidyalaya, Shresta Vidyalaya, a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative in CBSE Schools was launched by Shri DV Sadananda Gowda, Hon’ble Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Shri V Muraleedharan, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs, Govt. of India in Ernakulam on 31 October 2019. The Swachta initiative in association with Bharat Petroleum is being rolled out in CBSE schools in Kerala.
The Hon'ble Union Ministers handed over the inaugural inscription of Swachh Vidyalaya, Shresta Vidyalaya, to Mr. Prasad K Panicker, Executive Director, (Kochi Refinery) i/c at the inaugural ceremony of the XXIV CBSE Interschool Athletics Meet, one of the biggest sporting events in the State. Over 4000 students are participating in the Athletic Meet this year.
