BPCL Kochi Refinery Wins 5th Water Sustainability Award 2026 for Water Efficiency

BPCL Kochi Refinery has been recognized by TERI at the 5th Water Sustainability Awards 2026 for excellence in industrial water-use efficiency. Presented by Hon’ble Minister of State for Jal Shakti Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary and received by refinery leadership, the award celebrates the facility's sustainable water practices. By optimizing ETP and RODM operations, the refinery boosted recycled water usage to 17,600 kL/day, achieving a 15% reduction in overall freshwater consumption.
