Employee Wellbeing Through Sports: Activation of

Sports Facility at Haveli Retail Installation

At BPCL, sports are more than
recreation, they are a catalyst for
wellbeing, discipline, and teamwork.
Regular engagement in sports
enhances productivity, fosters
collaboration, and builds a culture of
work-life integration through life at
work.

Continuing its commitment to
strengthen employee engagement
through sports, Sports–HRS activated
the new Sports Facility at Haveli
Retail Installation on 25th September
2025. The event saw enthusiastic
participation from 32 employees,
including officers, contract workmen,
transporters, and security staff, who
came together for a spirited volleyball
tournament.

The initiative was anchored by Mr.
Debamalya Sinha from ESE Western
Region, who also highlighted various
employee wellbeing initiatives.
Adding inspiration to the day, BPCL’s
international volleyball players Mr.
Rohith P. and Mr. Suresh Babu joined
the matches, sharing valuable
game tips and motivating stories of
perseverance.
The event was seamlessly organized
by Mr. Mudavathu Surya Naik,
Location In-Charge, and Mr. G.
Ratna Kishore, Manager (HSSE). The
matches reflected high energy, skill,
and team spirit—culminating in a
brief felicitation ceremony to honor
the winners.
The Haveli activation beautifully
demonstrated BPCL’s ongoing
commitment to promoting fitness
and camaraderie across workplaces
proving once again that sports at
BPCL are not just games, but a way
of life.
