At just 15, Vaibhav Suri earned
the prestigious title of Chess
Grandmaster, a milestone that
marked the rise of one of India’s
finest strategic minds. Over the
years, his brilliance has transcended
the chessboard, shaping him into a
mentor, thinker, and leader whose
journey continues to inspire the BPCL
sporting fraternity.
In August 2025, Vaibhav graced the
inauguration of the new Chess and
Carrom Room at BPCL’s Trombay
Club, a facility that symbolizes the
company’s growing commitment
to nurturing talent and promoting
mental agility through sports. His
presence at the event was more than
ceremonial; it was a homecoming of
sorts for a champion who embodies
the BPCL spirit of focus, discipline, and
excellence.
A guiding force behind India’s gold-
winning team at the 2024 Chess
Olympiad, Vaibhav represents the
perfect blend of youthful brilliance
and mature strategy. His philosophy,
