Abhijeet Gupta (Chess)
Grandmaster Abhijeet Gupta, representing BPCL, continues to shine
on the global chess stage with two standout performances in 2025. At
the Reykjavík Grandmaster Open in Iceland, he tied for second place
with 7 out of 9 points, earning 50 international rating points among 419
participants from 51 countries. His achievement was lauded at the prize
ceremony by Indian Ambassador Mr. R. Ravindra.
Following this, Abhijeet clinched his fourth title at the 21st Delhi GM Open
with 8.5 out of 10 points, securing the top spot after a final-round draw
against IM Aronyak Ghosh. His consistent success across years reaffirms
his legacy as one of India’s finest chess champions.
Joby Mathew (Arm Wrestling)
Heartiest congratulations to Joby Mathew for his
exceptional performance at the 2025 Para Powerlifting
World Cup held in Beijing, China. Representing India
in the 65 kg category, Joby secured a remarkable
Gold as well as a Silver medal, reaffirming his position
as one of the country’s most accomplished para-
athletes. His achievement is a proud moment for
BPCL and a testament to his strength, resilience, and
dedication.
Manasi Joshi (Para Badminton)
Manasi Joshi delivered a stellar performance at the Asian
Para-Badminton Championships 2025 held in Korat,
Thailand, bringing home a remarkable three medals in the
SL3 category. She clinched a bronze in Women’s Singles,
along with silver medals in both Mixed Doubles (SL3–SU5)
and Women’s Doubles (SL3–SU5), showcasing her versatility
across formats.
Aryaveer Dewan (Squash)
Congratulations to Aryaveer Dewan
on his selection to the Indian squad
for the upcoming Asian Junior Squash
Championship 2025 in Gimcheon, South
Korea. His dedication and growing
prowess make him one to watch in the
junior squash circuit.
