A proud moment for BPCL as Bharat Petroleum Retail Operations HQ has been awarded the Global Safety Award 2026 (Platinum Category) by the Global Energy and Environment Foundation at the Clean Energy Summit held in New Delhi.

The award, presented by Shri Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Former Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, recognises BPCL’s unwavering commitment to Safety, Environment, Health and Security practices. Adding to the pride, Krishnapatnam Coastal Installation was also recognised under the Diamond Category for achieving zero plant accidents over the last three years.

Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, and Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dr. Neeraj Mittal, presented the ‘Pipeline Transportation – Company of the Year’ award to BPCL, conferred by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), at India Energy Week 2026.

The award was accepted by Shri Sanjay Khanna, Director (Refineries) with additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director; Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), BPCL; and Shri Biju Gopinath, Executive Director (Pipelines), BPCL.

The recognition acknowledges BPCL’s consistent performance and leadership in pipeline transportation, reflecting its focus on operational excellence, safety, and reliability across its pipeline infrastructure.

Presented on a national platform like India Energy Week, the honour reinforces BPCL’s continued contribution to India’s evolving energy ecosystem and critical energy infrastructure.

BPCL records a proud milestone as Bina Refinery secures three prestigious accolades at NPEA 2025, recognising excellence across sustainability, innovation, and project execution.

The Refinery Integrated 2.15 TPD / 5 MW Green Hydrogen Plant was honoured under the ‘Exemplary Project Awards’ and ‘One of its Kind’ categories, while the Integrated Operator Insight (IOI) App received recognition for Innovation.

From advancing green hydrogen adoption to deploying AI-enabled digital solutions for safer and smarter operations, these achievements reflect BPCL’s focused progress towards Net Zero (Scope 1 & 2) by 2040. Bina Refinery continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s clean energy ecosystem and driving the nation’s energy transition forward with purpose and impact.

BPCL Mumbai Refinery has been awarded the Gold Medal at the 11th India Green Manufacturing Challenge (IGMC) and the Safety First Factory Program 2025 (Preventive Level).

Conferred at the Manufacturing Thought Leaders’ Summit 2025, the recognition reflects BPCL’s steadfast commitment to green manufacturing, preventive safety, and operational excellence.
