BPCL Kochi Refinery has been honoured with the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) in the Performance Excellence Category, reaffirming its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and safety. Representing Kochi Refinery, Shri Vishwas Khobragade (CGM – Technology), Shri Avinash Sankpal (Chief Manager – Maintenance), and Shri Neelabh Upadhyay (Manager – Manufacturing) received the award from legendary cricketer Shri Sunil Gavaskar, in the presence of Ms. Sunitha A. Ramnathkar, President, IMC and Shri Niraj Bajaj, Chairman, IMC RBNQA Trust, at the award ceremony held in Mumbai.
The recognition highlights Kochi Refinery’s strong systems-driven approach, leadership in cleaner fuels and energy conservation, enterprise-wide digital transformation, and exceptional safety performance of over 92 million accident-free man hours. The Refinery’s efforts in advancing Net Zero initiatives and introducing innovative petrochemical products as import substitutes were also recognised during the rigorous evaluation process.
This achievement reflects the collective dedication of the Kochi Refinery team in continuously raising benchmarks in quality, reliability, and performance excellence.
