Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Information Systems (IS) team achieved a major milestone at the Governance Now 11th India PSU IT Forum & Awards 2026 in New Delhi, securing multiple prestigious accolades. U. S. N. Bhat, Executive Director (IS), was named Digital Transformation Leader – CIO, and L. B. Sharma, Chief General Manager (IS), was honored as Digital Transformation Leader – CTO.

The awards, presented by Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri C. R. Patil and Member of Parliament Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, also recognized BPCL for modernizing its SAN infrastructure, implementing the BPDOCs centralized document management system, and executing a cloud-native identity transformation with M365. BPCL Kochi Refinery Conferred “Business House with Highest Cargo in 2025–26” Award

BPCL Kochi Refinery has been conferred with the prestigious “Business House with Highest Cargo in 2025–26” award by Cochin Port Authority during the 98th Port Day celebrations held on 26 May 2026 in Kochi. The award was presented by B. Kasiviswanathan and received by BPCL Kochi Refinery officials Shri Vinod P.L., Shri Vinu Narayanan, and Shri Michael Solomon. In FY 2025–26, BPCL Kochi Refinery contributed an outstanding 22.70 MMT out of the total 38 MMT cargo handled by the Port Authority, accounting for nearly 60% of the overall cargo throughput. This recognition reflects BPCL’s continued commitment to operational excellence, efficient energy logistics, and nation-building through world-class infrastructure and seamless supply chain management.

BPCL Kochi Refinery Honoured for Manufacturing Innovation Excellence by the Kerala Management Association

BPCL Kochi Refinery has been conferred the KMA Excellence Award for Manufacturing Innovation by the Kerala Management Association (KMA) for its innovative PFCCU process modification initiative.

The first-of-its-kind innovation has significantly improved operational efficiency, delivered annual savings of approximately ₹32 crore, enhanced energy efficiency, and reduced nearly 29,600 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

This recognition reflects BPCL Kochi Refinery’s continued focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

BPCL Sets New Benchmarks at CII National EHS Excellence Awards 2025

BPCL continues to set new benchmarks in Environment, Health & Safety excellence at the 18th Edition of the CII National EHS Excellence Awards 2025 held in New Delhi.

Ms. Vandana Gurnani, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Government of India; Shri Jayanta Das, Board Member (Technical), PNGRB; and Shri Ajay Jain, Executive Vice President & Head, SBG – Domestic Operations, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore IC, presented the awards to the BPCL team present. BPCL secured 9 awards across Retail, LPG and Refinery businesses, including 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze recognitions, reaffirming its commitment to operational excellence and a culture of safety.

Adding to the achievement, LPG BU’s “Zero Ka Dum” and “Pure For Sure” initiatives received prestigious Spotlight Awards for driving innovation and excellence in EHS management. Congratulations to all the winning teams and locations for this remarkable accomplishment.
