BPCL Mumbai and Bina Refineries have been honored with two prestigious national awards at the 7th ICC National Occupational Health & Safety Awards 2025, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), under the Large Enterprise (Turnover above Rs. 250 Cr.) – Oil & Gas sector category.
These awards recognize excellence in workplace health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices. The assessment by ICC was rigorous, covering multiple aspects such as technology-enabled safety measures, maintenance of logs and health records, compliance with emission norms verified by external agencies, proper operation and upkeep of safety equipment, and the conduct of regular safety drills—ensuring that all processes and personnel meet the highest safety standards.
The Bina Refinery earned the Platinum Award, accepted by Shri Siddharth Oza (Manager – Fire & Safety) and Shri Harendra Yadav (DGM I/C – P&U, BDT & COT). The Mumbai Refinery received the Gold Award, accepted by Shri Atul Vyawahare (GM – Environment & Process Safety), Shri Sukhadhan Samuel (Chief Manager – Medical), and Dr. Sachin Damle (Manager – Safety).
The awards were presented by Dr. Krishna Sen (Hon’ble Chairman, ICC), Ms. Elizabeth Oriando (Consul for Economic Affairs, US Consulate), Shri Sumit Roy (Deputy Director General, DGFASLI), and Mrs. Nilambari Bhosale (Deputy Labour Commissioner, Maharashtra).
These recognitions reaffirm BPCL’s commitment to setting high benchmarks in workplace health, safety, and sustainability practices.
