BPCL Mumbai Refinery has been conferred the Best Sustainable Project of the Year 2025 Award at the Sustainable Summit & Awards 2025.

The award was received by Shri Atul Vyawahare, GM (PSM, QMS & Environment); Dr. Chiranjeevi Thota, GM (R&D); Dr. Mahesh Kasture, Chief Manager (R&D); Shri Ajay Pagare, Sr. Manager (Environment); and Shri Mahaveer Jadhav, Manager (Environment).

Recognised for its Municipal Liquid Waste Treatment Plant featuring a photo-bioreactor-based green algae system, the project marks a first-of-its-kind large-scale installation in India.

A milestone that reflects BPCL’s commitment to innovation-led sustainability and responsible environmental stewardship.

BPCL is proud to share that our Quality Assurance Labs have been recognised for exemplary safety performance at the NSCI Safety Awards 2025.

Piyala, Paradeep, and Tondiarpet Labs received the prestigious Prasansa Patra, while Kanpur, Budge, Cherlapally, Borkhedi, and Sewree Labs were honoured with the Certificate of Merit.

These recognitions reflect a culture rooted in rigour, preparedness, and sustained adherence to occupational safety and health standards. They also reaffirm BPCL’s commitment to safeguarding its people and operations through continuous improvement and strong institutional processes.
