BPCL Launches Extreme Weather Grade Diesel for Sub-Zero Operations

On 31st July 2026 in New Delhi, BPCL successfully launched Extreme Weather Grade (XWG) Diesel, an indigenous fuel engineered in close collaboration with the Indian Army to power mission-critical operations in harsh environments. Graced by Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth and BPCL CMD Shri Sanjay Khanna, the event exemplifies the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.. Tested and validated at high altitudes, the diesel remains fluid and fully functional at extreme temperatures as low as -40°C. This breakthrough ensures dependable cold starts, optimal drivability, and reliable performance where standard diesel typically fails.
