Meet Tanmay Sarkar, Manager (Pipelines), an Electrical Engineering graduate from NIT Bhopal (MANIT), who began his journey with BPCL in 2016 as a Management Trainee in the Pipelines Department. What started as a role focused on understanding electrical maintenance at headquarters soon became the foundation of a career driven by responsibility, reliability, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.
As he moved from field operations to HQ responsibilities, BPCL provided the platform and trust to take on larger challenges across regions. His work today strengthens reliability and pipeline integrity while improving operational efficiency at scale. From building practical solutions like DRA DECODED for pipeliners to securing consecutive wins at Talent Triathlon, Tanmay’s journey reflects how a culture that encourages initiative can turn ideas into measurable impact.
