Bharat Petroleum accepts RTI applications through the following channels:
1. Physical Submission of RTI Applications
Citizens may submit RTI applications on plain paper. The application should contain the following details:
a. Name of the applicant
b. Address for correspondence
c. Details of the information sought
d. Prescribed RTI application fee payable in favour of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited through Demand Draft (DD), Banker’s Pay Order, or Indian Postal Order (IPO)
BPCL has an extensive network of offices and operating locations across the country where RTI applications may be submitted either in person or by post.
The prescribed application fee is ₹10 (Rupees Ten only). Court fee stamps, treasury payments, bond papers, payments at post offices, cash, etc., are not accepted towards RTI fees. Any additional charges towards copies of documents or inspection of records are also required to be paid only through Demand Draft or Banker’s Pay Order drawn in favour of BPCL and payable at the respective town/city/location of the concerned CPIO from whom the information is sought.
2. Online RTI Application Facility
Citizens may also submit RTI applications online through the Government of India RTI portal:

The portal enables online payment of RTI fees. Upon successful submission, applicants receive a registration number through which the status of the application can be tracked.
3. Submission through E-mail
As BPCL is integrated with the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) RTI Online Portal, applicants and appellants are advised to submit RTI applications and appeals only through the RTI Online Portal.
RTI applications or appeals submitted through e-mail will not be accepted.
