Ms. Meenaxi Rawat assumed charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai, on 15 September 2021. An officer of the 1993 batch of the Indian Economic Service, she holds the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India.
In addition to her role at BPCL, she currently holds the additional charge of CVO for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL). She has also previously held additional charge as CVO for GAIL (India) Ltd. and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL).
With more than three decades of distinguished service, Ms. Rawat has made significant contributions in the areas of economic policy, financial management, and vigilance administration. Her career includes key assignments in the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Finance, Department of Consumer Affairs, Railway Board, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Industries, Government of India.
A graduate of the University of Rajasthan, she holds B.A., M.A., and M. Phil degrees in Economics, along with an MBA from the University of Hull (United Kingdom). She has also undergone advanced training at LBSNAA, various IIMs, ISI Kolkata, UC Berkeley, Duke University, CBI Academy, and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU).
