Swimming Summer Camp – Trombay Club, Chembur
As part of FPL 3.0, HRS Mumbai organized a Summer Swimming Camp
at Trombay Club for children of BPCL employees, in collaboration with
Mumbai Refinery. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Deepak Jain CGM
(Sports), HRS, in the presence of Shri Santosh Kale GM (Maintenance), MR.
The initiative received over 80 enthusiastic entries from various age
groups. Designed to introduce basic swimming techniques and water
safety, the sessions were led by professional coaches and received an
energetic response from day one.
Shri Deepak Jain spoke on the importance of daily fitness and how
swimming is both efficient and effective for health. Shri Santosh Kale
reflected on his own journey in sports, encouraging young participants
to make the most of such opportunities. The event concluded with a vote
of thanks from Mr Jaideep Pansare Sr. Manager (T&D), MR.
DINK TIME
Summer Volleyball Camp – BPCL Ground, Kochi
BPCL Kochi conducted a Summer Volleyball Camp at the BPCL
Ground, designed exclusively for children and led by Arjuna Awardee
and former Indian volleyball captain, Tom Joseph.
With nearly 75 enthusiastic participants from across the city, the camp
focused on developing core volleyball techniques, discipline, and
teamwork. Tom Joseph’s hands-on mentoring brought professional
insight and motivation to each session, making the experience both
enriching and inspiring.
Sessions incorporated game simulations and peer-based drills
that helped children apply skills in real-time match scenarios. The
presence of a sporting icon like Tom Joseph added aspirational value,
reinforcing the belief that greatness begins with the basics.
COMBINING LEARNING WITH FUN
Summer Coaching Camp – Noida Housing Complex
As part of FPL 3.0, BPCL’s Noida Housing Complex hosted a vibrant
Summer Coaching Camp on June 29, 2025, offering sessions in
swimming, yoga, and badminton for children of BPCL employees.
With nearly 30 participants in each sport, the camp fostered fitness,
learning, and fun, with 12 children learning to swim for the first time.
The event concluded with a well-attended closing ceremony,
where children received participation certificates. Organized
under the guidance of Mr. Nadeem Khan, Sports Coordinator NR,
and supported by senior leadership from HRS North, the initiative
reflected BPCL’s commitment to a healthy and active employee
community.
Each discipline focused not only on technique but also mental focus
and relaxation, especially yoga, which became a surprise favorite
among parents. The balanced format of this camp showcased
how wellness and sport can seamlessly go hand-in-hand.
